About part number CPLA17E702ACA door mirror cover is an exterior trim panel that attaches to the outer housing of a wing mirror assembly. It protects the internal electrical components, wiring, and motor mechanisms from weather and road debris while shaping the airflow around the side of the vehicle. When the cover is intact and correctly fitted, it sits flush against the mirror body, reducing wind noise and giving the vehicle a clean, finished appearance. To ensure this part is the correct match for your vehicle, you must check the part number stamped directly onto the original piece. Look for the code CPLA17E702AC on the inner face or mounting tabs on the inside of your existing cover. Comparing this exact manufacturer number against your old unit is the only way to confirm correct fitment, as clip positions and internal shapes vary. A mirror cover is usually replaced after suffering impact damage, surface scratches, or broken plastic mounting clips caused by tight parking spaces or minor collisions. When replacing this part, you may also need trim removal tools to release the delicate internal catches without scratching the surrounding paintwork, or a replacement mirror glass if the original housing suffered a direct hit. |
