About part number 7387935A fuel flap cover housing mounts into the rear wing panel and surrounds the filler neck or charging socket. It forms part of the exterior bodywork and fuel or charging system, providing a secure mounting for the outer flap door and protecting the inner socket or cap from road dirt and water. When it is working correctly, the outer flap opens and closes smoothly and aligns flush with the surrounding body panel. To confirm that this part is correct for your vehicle, you must check the part number stamped directly onto your original housing against the number 7387935. On plastic body housings of this type, the reference number is usually moulded or printed onto the main body casing or the rear mounting surface. Matching this exact number is the only way to ensure the part will fit. These housings are typically replaced after suffering impact damage, or when the internal hinge mechanism, spring clip, or release catch snaps. When replacing this unit, you often need the outer painted cover flap, a new release actuator, or replacement plastic retaining clips to complete the installation safely. |
