About part number 9824055880A front top landing slam panel is a structural support component located at the front of the engine bay. It forms part of the front-end body structure, providing a mounting point for the bonnet latch mechanism and securing upper components such as the radiator, headlights, and front grille. When this part is correctly fitted, the bonnet shuts securely, aligns neatly with the front wings, and remains firmly latched while driving. To ensure this component is correct for your vehicle, you must check that the manufacturer part number on your original unit matches 9824055880. On a metal or composite panel like this, the part number is usually stamped directly into the surface, printed on a identification label, or moulded into the material near the central latch mounting point. Matching this exact number is the only way to confirm correct fitment. A slam panel is most commonly replaced following front-end impact damage or heavy collision, which can bend the metal and prevent the bonnet from closing or aligning properly. When installing a replacement panel, you often need the bonnet lock latch assembly, mounting bolts, upper radiator brackets, and plastic trim clips to complete the repair. |
