About part number 99240N7700A rear tailgate lightbar camera forms part of the vehicle driver assistance and parking system. Mounted on the boot lid, it connects to the central display screen inside the cabin to transmit a clear live image when reversing. When the system operates correctly, the driver gains an unimpeded view of the area immediately behind the vehicle to assist with safe parking and low-speed manoeuvring. To confirm this is the correct replacement part, you must check that your original unit displays the exact part number 99240N7700. This number is typically printed on a label attached to the camera housing or directly stamped into the plastic casing. Matching this exact reference number is the only way to guarantee correct fitment and full electrical compatibility with your vehicle. standard replacement is usually required if the original lens becomes cracked, clouded, or scratched, or if internal water ingress causes complete failure of the video signal. When renewing a camera, installers often require fresh mounting clips, plastic trim fasteners, or replacement weather seals to ensure the boot lid remains watertight after reassembly.
