About part number 9462027A parcel shelf is an interior trim component that sits in the luggage compartment behind the rear seats. It covers the contents of the boot to keep items out of sight from outside the vehicle, while also helping to reduce road noise from the rear axle area. When fitted correctly, it rests on the side supports and lifts or stays level as the tailgate is operated. To confirm that this parcel shelf is correct for your vehicle, you must match the part number 9462027 directly against the number printed, stamped, or labelled on your original part. Manufacturer part numbers are typically found on the underside of the shelf, near the hinge pins, or on a sticker along the edge. Matching the part number is the only way to guarantee a correct fit. Parcel shelves are usually replaced because the original panel has warped, the support cords have snapped, or the mounting pins have broken off. When replacing this item, you may also need to source replacement locator clips or retaining straps if the original fixings are missing or damaged. |
