About part number LR181385An air conditioning condenser is a heat exchanger that forms a vital part of the climate control system. Positioned at the front of the vehicle near the radiator, it receives hot, high-pressure refrigerant gas from the compressor and cools it down into a liquid. When the system is working correctly, the driver enjoys effective cooling and efficient windscreen demisting inside the cabin. To ensure this is the correct component for your vehicle, you must check that the part number LR181385 matches the code stamped or printed on your original unit. You can usually find this reference number on a label attached to the end tanks or etched directly onto the metal casing. Matching this specific number is the only way to confirm correct fitment. These components are usually replaced due to stone-chip damage, corrosion, or leaks caused by their exposed position at the front of the car. When fitting a replacement condenser, a technician will typically require new rubber O-ring seals for the pipe connections, along with a fresh charge of refrigerant gas and compressor oil to recharge the system.
