About part number 9808098A covering apron trim is an exterior bodywork panel that fits on the right-hand side of the vehicle. It covers structural or mechanical components beneath the outer body, protecting them from road dirt, water and stone chips while giving the vehicle a neat finish. When it is correctly fitted, it sits flush against the surrounding body panels without loose edges or gaps, preventing wind noise and rust-causing moisture from gathering behind it. To ensure this part is correct for your vehicle, match the part number 9808098 directly with the number stamped or printed on your original trim. On plastic body covers, this identifier is usually moulded into the inner surface or stamped onto the back of the part. Matching this exact part number is the only way to guarantee a correct fit, as shape and fixing points vary between different versions. A covering apron is usually replaced after sustaining impact damage, cracking, or losing its fixing clips due to road debris and age. When replacing this component, you will commonly need new plastic mounting clips or trim fasteners, as the original plastic fixings often snap or lose their tension when the old cover is removed. |
