About part number 18308075253An exhaust tailpipe trim is a decorative finishing piece that attaches to the end of the exhaust pipe at the rear of the vehicle. Sitting on the left-hand side of the rear bumper, it covers the plain metal end of the silencer assembly to give the back of the car a clean, completed appearance. When it is correctly fitted, the driver will notice a neat chrome finish around the exhaust outlet that matches the rear styling of the vehicle. To ensure this is the correct part for your vehicle, you must match the part number directly. Check the number stamped onto your original trim or its mounting bracket against the numbers for this item, which include 18308075253, 8075253, and 8075253-07. Matching these exact numbers is the only way to confirm correct fitment, as vehicle models and years do not guarantee a match. Tailpipe trims are usually replaced because of cosmetic damage caused by road debris, rear-end impacts, or corrosion from moisture and exhaust gases. When fitting a replacement trim, a technician or owner often needs new mounting clips, bolts, or securing clamps to ensure it stays firmly attached to the exhaust pipe.
