About part number 8891667021A door lower trim panel is an exterior body moulding fitted to the bottom section of the door on the right-hand side of the vehicle. It clips or bolts directly onto the outer door skin, helping to shield the lower paintwork from road grit, stones, and spray thrown up by the front tyre. When it is correctly fitted, it gives the side profile of the vehicle a clean, finished appearance and keeps the lower edge of the door alignment looking neat. To confirm that this part is correct for your vehicle, you must check that the part number matches your original item exactly. The manufacturer part number for this trim is 8891667021, and you may also find the secondary number 574049 stamped into it. On moulding panels of this type, these numbers are usually molded or printed onto the smooth plastic surface on the reverse side of the trim. Exterior lower door trims are most frequently replaced because they have suffered cosmetic damage, scuffs, or cracks from kerbs, gravel, or minor impacts. When replacing this panel, you will usually need replacement plastic trim clips or fasteners, as the original retaining clips often snap or lose their tension when the old trim is pulled away from the door.
