About part number 32234937A headlamp washer cap is an exterior trim piece that covers the retractable washer nozzle mounted inside the front bumper. It belongs to the windscreen and headlight cleaning system, sitting flush with the bumper surface when the washers are off and opening automatically when the fluid jets spray the headlights. When it is working correctly, it protects the internal spray mechanism from road dirt and keeps the front of the vehicle looking neat and complete. To ensure this is the correct part for your vehicle, you must match the part number 32234937 directly with the number stamped on your original component. Original manufacturer numbers on plastic body trims are usually moulded into the plastic on the reverse side or inner edge of the cap. Checking this part number is the only way to confirm exact fitment, as shape and fixing clips vary across different trim levels. These caps are usually replaced because they have been knocked off, damaged by road debris, or lost when the washer jet extends. Because replacement covers are often supplied in a primer finish, you will typically need body paint and clear lacquer to colour-match the cap to the vehicle bumper before fitting it. |
