About part number VG9232134A front bumper grille is an exterior trim panel fitted to the front of a vehicle's bodywork. Positioned within the main front bumper assembly, it allows air to flow through to the radiator and engine bay to aid cooling, while protecting internal components from stones and road debris. When the correct grille is fitted, it sits flush with the surrounding bodywork, keeping the front of the vehicle looking neat and complete. To ensure this is the correct item for your vehicle, you must check that the part number matches your original unit. Look for the main reference number VG9232134 or the additional part number 7LA807489C9B9, which are usually stamped or moulded directly into the plastic on the back of the original panel. Matching these numbers exactly is the only way to confirm a correct fit. These grilles are usually replaced after a front-end impact, or when the original plastic has cracked, faded, or lost its mounting clips over time. When replacing a damaged grille, you will often need to re-use or buy the plastic trim clips, screws, or surrounding bumper fixings that secure it in place.
