About part number 86524-G5500A daytime running light and fog light grille trim is an exterior body component that sits in the front bumper. It frames the fog lamp or daytime running light assembly, protecting the surrounding bumper aperture and securing the light housing in place. When it is correctly fitted, it gives the front of the vehicle a neat, complete appearance and helps keep dirt and road debris away from the lighting units and internal fixings. To ensure this is the correct part for your vehicle, you must check that the part number 86524-G5500 matches the number stamped on your original item. On plastic bumper trims and grilles, this part number is usually moulded directly into the reverse side of the plastic casing. Vehicle models often use different bumper styles and trim designs, so matching this exact part number is the only way to confirm a correct fit. These trim covers are most commonly replaced after minor front-end impacts, parking scrapes, or because the plastic clips securing them to the bumper have snapped. When fitting a replacement trim, you may also need new plastic retaining clips, screws, or the adjacent fog light unit if the original housing was damaged at the same time. |
