About part number LR136386A front bumper fog lamp cover is a plastic trim panel that sits in the front bumper assembly. It clips into the bumper around the fog light on the right-hand side of the vehicle, protecting the housing and finishing the exterior styling. When the cover is fitted correctly, it sits flush with the surrounding bodywork and keeps dirt, road grit and water away from the light unit and its wiring behind the bumper. To confirm this is the correct part for your vehicle, you must check the part number against the one stamped on your original trim. On plastic mouldings of this type, part number LR136386 is usually moulded or stamped into the rear face of the plastic casing. Matching this exact number is the only way to guarantee a correct fit, as shape and clip locations vary between different trim levels and options. These covers are usually replaced because they have been cracked by stone chips, damaged in a low-speed impact, or lost after coming loose from the bumper. When replacing this panel, you may also need replacement plastic retaining clips or fixings if the original mountings were broken during removal or impact. |
