About part number 86525-F1610A fog light cover trim is an exterior body moulding that fits into the front bumper around the fog light assembly. It secures and finishes the aperture, protecting the light unit and internal bumper mountings from road debris, stone chips and spray. When it is correctly fitted and undamaged, it sits flush with the surrounding bodywork to maintain the correct airflow and clean appearance of the front of the vehicle. To confirm that this part is correct for your vehicle, check that the part number on your original item matches 86525-F1610. The manufacturer part number is typically stamped or moulded into the plastic on the reverse side of the trim panel. Matching this number exactly is the only way to guarantee correct fitment, as shape and clip locations vary between different trim levels and bumper designs. These trims are usually replaced after low-speed parking impacts, stone damage, or if the plastic retaining clips snap and cause the panel to loosen or fall off. When fitting a replacement cover, you may need plastic bumper retaining clips or trim removal tools to seat the new panel safely without scratching the painted bumper surface. |
