About part number 13300720A headlight washer cap cover is a small exterior trim panel that sits on the front bumper. It covers the opening for the retractable headlight washer jet, protecting the washer nozzle mechanism from dirt, road grime, and weather when it is not in use. When the driver activates the windscreen washers with the headlights switched on, the washer jet extends forward, pushes the cover open to spray the headlight lens, and then retracts so the cover sits flush against the bumper again. To ensure this is the correct part for your vehicle, you must match the part number directly. Check that the number 13300720, or the alternative code 341601429, matches the number stamped or printed on your original cover. On parts like this, the manufacturer part number is usually moulded into the plastic on the inner or rear face. Matching this part number is the only way to guarantee correct fitment and alignment with your bumper. These covers are commonly replaced because they have been knocked off, lost, stolen, or damaged in a minor parking collision. They can also break if the spring mechanism or plastic clips fatigue over time. When replacing a missing cover, you may also need to check the condition of the underlying washer jet nozzle, telescopic actuator unit, or retaining clips, as these components are frequently damaged at the same time.
