About part number 815C0-CZF02A charge port flap mechanism opens and closes the protective door over a plug-in vehicle's electrical charging socket. It forms part of the exterior body fittings, mounting directly to the quarter panel and securing the outer painted cover. When working correctly, the mechanism unlatches smoothly when prompted and holds the flap securely shut while driving to protect the charging connections from dirt and water. To confirm this component matches your vehicle, compare the part numbers stamped on your existing unit with the numbers on this item. You can usually find the manufacturer reference numbers 815C0-CZF02 or 91682-CZ200 moulded directly into the plastic housing or printed on an attached label. Matching these exact numbers is the only way to ensure correct fitment. People usually replace this assembly when the internal catch fails, the hinge breaks, or the electric release stops responding. When fitting a replacement mechanism, you often need to transfer your existing outer painted cover or source a matching cover to complete the installation, along with any original plastic mounting clips.
