About part number 9830097780A rear inner light forms part of the exterior lighting system on the back of the vehicle. This unit mounts directly into the tailgate panel and connects into the main wiring loom to display illumination when the lighting system is active. When the unit is working correctly, it gives a clear signal to trailing traffic and ensures the rear of the vehicle remains visible in dark or poor weather conditions. To confirm that this part is correct for your vehicle, you must match the manufacturer part number 9830097780 directly against the number printed on your original unit. On a light assembly of this type, the part number is usually stamped or moulded into the plastic housing on the rear casing, or printed on a label attached to the back of the lens body. Matching this exact number is what determines correct fitment. Replacing an inner light unit is usually necessary after physical damage, such as a cracked lens from an impact, or if water ingress causes internal corrosion. When fitting a replacement unit, you often need replacement bulbs, fresh mounting clips, or a new sealing gasket to prevent water leaking into the tailgate. |
