About part number 31672592A side skirt is an exterior body panel that attaches along the lower edge of the vehicle body between the wheel arches. It forms part of the outer trim, helping to streamline airflow along the flanks and protecting the lower sills from road debris, water, and stone chips. When it is correctly fitted, the driver will notice a clean, flush appearance along the side of the vehicle with no loose trim or rattling noises at speed. To ensure this is the correct item for your vehicle, you must check that the part number 31672592 matches the number stamped or printed on your original component. On plastic body mouldings and trim panels, part numbers are usually moulded into the inner face or printed on a label on the back. Matching this exact reference number is the only way to guarantee correct fitment. A side skirt is usually replaced because of cosmetic damage, scuffs, or cracks caused by low-level impacts, high kerbs, or loose road chippings. When fitting a replacement skirt, you will commonly need new plastic mounting clips, screws, or trim fasteners, as the original fixings often break or distort when the old panel is removed. |
