UK Business Buyers Registered for VAT

If you are VAT registered in the UK, the price that matters to you is the net price, because you reclaim the VAT. Compared with a seller who cannot issue a VAT invoice, our net price is frequently the lower real price, even when the advertised price looks higher. A full invoice is supplied with every order. For UK VAT-registered buyers it shows the VAT for you to reclaim.

Buyers outside the UK: this applies to UK VAT only. If you are buying from outside the UK there is no UK VAT in your price for you to reclaim - your order leaves the UK as an export, and any VAT or import charges that apply are set by your own country, collected at checkout or on delivery, not by us. VAT-registered businesses outside the UK: if you want to recover the import VAT in your own country, make sure your registered business name and VAT number are on your eBay account and on the delivery address you use at checkout, so that the customs declaration and the courier's paperwork are in your company's name rather than your own.

scratched and gouged, but no buckles, no welds, and no cracks.

Clips, screws and fixings. Removable clips, screws, nuts, rubber grommets and other fixings are only included where they are shown in the photos. Parts often reach us with some or all of the push-in clips already removed, so please check the photos to see which fixings are on the part and which you will need to source. The clip holders and mounting points moulded into the part are described above where they are damaged; where nothing is said, they are intact. The photos form part of this description.

Please zoom each photo before buying - small screens can hide scratches. Extra photos on request.

NEED A TYRE ON THIS WHEEL?

We stock large part-worn tyres from the top brands, including Michelin, Pirelli, Continental and Goodyear. Many are nearly new, in the popular sizes that this wheel takes. Send us a message before you buy and we will check what we have in your size. Where parcel limits allow, we can fit the tyre to the wheel, balance it on our machine, and send the pair as one item, ready to bolt on.

WHY THE SAME PART CARRIES MORE THAN ONE NUMBER - worth knowing before you search. Manufacturers do not use one number per part, and the number printed in the parts catalogue is often not the number moulded into the part itself.

The last characters are usually a colour or version code, not part of the main part number. On a Peugeot, Citroen or Vauxhall number the final two characters show whether the part is primed or painted, and which colour it is, so 98 526 576 80 and 98 526 576 F4 are the same grille in different finishes. On a Volkswagen, Audi, Seat or Skoda number a trailing letter is the revision, so 8Y0 807 437 and 8Y0 807 437 F are the same bumper at different points in the production run.

Suppliers also put their own numbers on the parts. A headlamp built by Valeo or Hella carries the car maker's number and the supplier's own, and the supplier's appears in no dealer catalogue at all. One casting can also carry several numbers at once, because the same factory mould was used for more than one version - wheels and lamps do this constantly, and only one of the numbers on them is the live one for your car.

So if a search for a part number gives no results, search again without the last two characters, and compare our photographs with the part you are replacing. The shape, the mounting points and the connector confirm the match when a number cannot. Or send us your VIN and we will look your car up on the manufacturer's system and tell you the numbers it was actually built with, free and in writing.

Fixing a Land Rover?

One repair rarely needs just one part. We hold one of the largest inventories in the UK of genuine Land Rover and Range Rover parts removed from vehicles: body panels, lights, wheels, trim and much more. They come from current models: Defender, Evoque, Velar and Discovery. New stock arrives every week from the bodyshops we work with. If you do not see the part you need, send us a message. It may be removed from a vehicle this week.

Planning a bigger repair? Orders over GBP 250 save 5% and orders over GBP 500 save 10%, applied automatically at checkout. Bumpers, lights, body panels and wheels: buy everything for the job from one shop, in one parcel where possible, with one discount.

Where Our Wheels Come From - And Why They Cost What They Cost

Most of our wheels come off nearly new vehicles in professional body repair - usually replaced for cosmetic scuffs and scrapes, nothing more. Under UK repair standards a wheel that has been scraped on a kerb is replaced, not refurbished. The damage is cosmetic, never structural. That is how genuine wheels from the latest models, often only a few months old, end up here at a fraction of what the manufacturer charges.

And we mean a fraction. Manufacturer list price on a single alloy can run GBP 500 to GBP 1,500. Ours typically sell for a tenth of that. How is that possible? We have no showroom, no expensive premises and none of the overheads of a scrapyard. Our stock is kept in shipping containers, our shop is this eBay page, and supply keeps arriving from the bodyshops we work with. Low costs, plenty of stock, and prices set to sell. You are not paying for our building, because we do not have one.

Every wheel is genuine OEM. No replicas, no copies, no aftermarket lookalikes - the manufacturer's own wheel, with the casting marks to prove it.

Every wheel is spun on our tyre balancer before we put it up for sale. Watch the balancer video where one is included on this page. A buckled wheel cannot hide on a balancer. If the wheel runs true on the balancer, it is straight. Cosmetic marks are a different matter: we photograph every scratch and scuff close up, and we tell you plainly whether the wheel needs cosmetic refurbishment or can be fitted exactly as it is. Zoom in: what you see is exactly what arrives.

A refurbisher will charge GBP 50 to GBP 80 to make a scuffed wheel showroom-perfect. Add that to our price and you are still hundreds of pounds below the price of a new wheel. Or fit the wheel as it is and spend nothing.

A note on fitment - please read. eBay's compatibility checker matches by vehicle, so if you have entered your registration number and this wheel shows as compatible, the fixing pattern and the centre bore are right and the wheel will bolt onto your car. The checker does not confirm the size and the style of the wheel. Most models were sold with several wheel designs, diameters, widths and offsets. Please compare the diameter, the width and the offset given on this page against your existing wheel, to be sure that it is the same specification, before you buy. Are you unsure? Send us your VIN (chassis number) and we will confirm the right wheel for your car.

Why Buy From Us?

Anyone can put a part up for sale on eBay. You are also buying the care and experience behind it: who selected the part, how it was checked, how it is packed, and what happens if something is wrong. Here is how we do it.

Four generations in the motor trade. The family firm C.E.J. Haime & Son supplied and repaired vehicles in the early 1900s, when motoring itself was new. Four generations later, the same family still trades in car parts. This is not a hobby that somebody started last year. It is our family business. You can read the full history in the "Our Story" section at the bottom of this page.

We have already solved the supply problems, so your order does not suffer them. Every parts business meets the same problems at the start. The spare part that looks identical but is not. Packaging that is too weak to protect a headlight. A carrier that is reliable with small parcels and rough with large body panels. A pallet left standing in a courier depot over a public holiday. A supplier whose stock turns out to be scrap from end-of-life vehicles. We have had all of these problems over the years, and every one of them changed the way we work: which bodyshops we buy from, how each type of part is packed, which carrier we use for which parcel, and delivering into the courier hubs ourselves instead of waiting for a collection. A seller who is new to this learns these lessons on your order. We already learned them years ago, at our own expense.

Packed to survive the journey. Headlights, painted panels, wheels and small electronic parts each have their own packing method, developed over many thousands of parcels. Fragile parts are boxed so that they withstand handling by couriers who do not know what is inside. This costs us more in materials and in time. It also prevents damage in transit.

We describe honestly and photograph properly. We photograph the scratches and damage as well as the good side, and we describe plainly what the part is and what it is not. If a part needs cosmetic repair before you fit it, we say so in the description, so that you are not surprised when you open the box. We would rather lose a sale by being honest than make a sale and then deal with a return.

A free fitment check before you buy. Send us your VIN (chassis number) in an eBay message, and we will check this part against your own vehicle, including the trim level, the factory options and the paint code. Those are exactly the details that eBay's own compatibility tool does not check. This service is free, you are under no obligation, and it takes only a few minutes.

We have a large stock of parts, not just a few single items. Our supply comes directly from professional bodyshops and it arrives continuously, so this part is rarely the only one we will have. If you are rebuilding a vehicle, the next part you need is often already in stock, or arriving this week. Please ask us.

A registered UK company. C.E.J Haime Group Limited is registered in England and Wales, and it is VAT registered. Trade buyers and VAT-registered buyers receive a full VAT invoice with every order.

If something does go wrong. Every order is covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee, exactly like any other purchase on eBay, and we accept returns. Send us a message and you will get a clear answer from the people who packed the part, not an automated reply from a call centre. Solving a problem quickly has always been cheaper for us than arguing about it.

Four generations later, this company still carries our family name. We intend to keep its reputation intact.

Over 2,500 genuine OEM parts in stock - new arrivals weekly.

WHY YOUR PART NUMBER MIGHT NOT MATCH OURS - AND WHY THAT IS OFTEN FINE

A quick explanation of how manufacturer part numbers for car parts really work, because this costs buyers money every day:

The part numbers change, but the parts themselves often stay the same. Manufacturers revise part numbers constantly. The reason can be a tiny production change, a new supplier, or sometimes just a new label, and each revision receives a new number. The old and new numbers together are called a supersession chain, and parts along that chain usually fit identically. By the time you search for it, the correct number for your vehicle may already be three revisions out of date.

The same part can carry several different numbers. There is one number stamped on the casting, another on the label, and another in the catalogue. On some makes there is even a different number for each colour. None of this means that the parts are different.

What this means for you: if our number does not match the number on the part you are replacing, that fact alone tells you almost nothing, in either direction. Do not buy simply because you hope it will fit, and do not walk away simply because you fear it will not. Send us your VIN. If you do not have it, send us the number from the part you are replacing instead. We will trace that number through the replacements, the revisions and the equivalent numbers. If it fits, we confirm that in writing and our guarantee applies. If it does not fit, we will say so clearly.

We cannot make the numbering system any simpler, but we can make it our problem instead of yours.

Your Own Parts Department - Free VIN Fitment Check

eBay's compatibility checker is never more accurate than the catalogue behind it. Manufacturers regularly supersede part numbers, so the checker may say that a part does not fit when it fits your vehicle perfectly, or the opposite.

There is also a second limitation you should know about. The compatibility checker matches against a standard catalogue by make, model and year. It does not ask for your VIN, it does not cross-reference it, and it does not read it at all. Enter your registration number and it will identify the mechanical side of your car, often in real detail - the exact engine code, engine size, power output, drivetrain and body generation - which is why it is usually reliable for mechanical and engine-bay parts, where the model and the year are enough to decide the answer. But it stays completely silent on the things that decide many cosmetic and body parts: your trim level, your factory options and packages (a fuel-economy version, a sport pack, a styling pack), and your paint colour code. So two cars of the same model, year and engine can still take completely different bumpers, grilles, spoilers, side skirts, mirror caps or light units depending on the trim (for example M Sport versus SE, S line versus standard, R-Line, ST-Line) - and the compatibility checker will still show a green message saying that the part fits your vehicle, because trim, options and paint are simply not things that it reports.

This is exactly what a VIN check catches. Your VIN (also called the chassis number) is the key to your car's factory build record - the exact trim, options and paint colour code included - so we can confirm the part is right for your specific car, not just the right model and year. If a cosmetic part comes painted, the paint colour code matters too. You will find it on a sticker inside the door opening, or under the bonnet. Send it to us together with your VIN and we will advise you before you buy.

No VIN to hand? Then it is important to be realistic about what you can still check. Without your VIN, neither we nor the compatibility checker can actually see your car. The compatibility checker is only a general guide to point you in the right direction, never the definitive answer. In that case the one check that is worth doing is a visual one: compare the part in our photos against the one you are removing, and make sure that it looks exactly the same - same shape, same mounting points and brackets, same connectors, same number of sensors. If it does not match the part you are replacing in the photos, it is not the right part, whatever the compatibility checker says. Never rely on the compatibility checker alone.

Here is something most buyers do not realise. In the UK and Europe, vehicle manufacturers are only obliged to make parts data available to the trade, and not to you, the owner. That data includes part numbers, replacement numbers and build-specification information. The system still assumes that you will hand your car to a garage and never ask what was fitted. But today you buy your own parts online, without access to the very information that you need in order to buy them correctly. We do not think that is fair.

So treat us as your own parts department, free of charge. Send us a message with your full 17-character VIN, and tell us what you need, and we will check the correct part number against your vehicle's factory build record. We will do this for this part, or for any other part you are looking for, whether we stock it or not. If we have it, we will point you to the right item on our shop. If we do not have it, you will at least know exactly what to search for. Available to buyers in every country.

Not sure what a VIN is, or where to find yours? Your VIN (Vehicle Identification Number, also called the chassis number) is a unique 17-character code that identifies your exact vehicle and how it was built at the factory - think of it as the car's fingerprint. It is not the same as your registration number: a number plate can be changed or transferred between cars, but the VIN never changes and belongs to that one vehicle for life - which is why we work from the VIN, not the registration number. You will usually find yours in one of three places: through the small window at the base of the windscreen (typically the driver's side), on a small metal plate showing the VIN, under the bonnet or in a door frame, or printed on your V5C document, the UK vehicle registration certificate.

AND WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR ANSWER. Normally, if a part is returned because it does not fit, the buyer pays the return postage, which on large items can be expensive. But if you sent us your VIN by eBay message before buying, and we confirmed in writing that this part fits your vehicle, and it then turns out that we were wrong, then we will pay the return postage ourselves and refund you in full. Our mistake, and we pay for it. That is how confident we are when we have checked your VIN properly, and it is why it is always worth sending us the VIN first.

Two things so we can help you properly:

1. Send your VIN typed out as text, not just a photo. We have to copy it into several independent trade systems, and a typed VIN avoids the misreads (and delays) that come from working off a picture. By all means attach a photo of the VIN plate as well, but please type the 17 characters into the message.

2. Send us your VIN before you buy, and we will confirm whether it fits. This usually takes only a few minutes. At our busiest times you will have the answer by the early evening of the same working day. Every VIN is checked by hand against the actual part, so if you do wait a little longer, it is because we are being careful, not slow.

If you buy without a VIN check, making sure the part is compatible is your own responsibility. Please make certain before you buy. Always check the part numbers shown in the photos.

Or use the Message button at the top of this page.

IMPORTANT - USA BUYERS / ALLOY WHEELS

WHEELS CANNOT CURRENTLY BE SHIPPED TO THE USA via eBay's Global Shipping Program. Under the current US customs rules on aluminium goods, eBay's export hub will not forward alloy wheels to American addresses - orders placed through GSP will be stopped at the hub and refunded, costing you weeks.

If you are in the USA: please MESSAGE US BEFORE BUYING. We regularly arrange alternative shipping for US customers and will quote you a reliable service for your address.

WHY OUR PARTS ARRIVE FASTER THAN YOU EXPECT

Most eBay sellers pack your order and then wait, either for a courier collection or for a trip to a drop-off point, and each of those has its own early deadline. If the seller misses that deadline, your part waits overnight before it even starts moving.

Wherever possible, we have removed that step. For the majority of our orders we deliver directly into the courier's main distribution hubs ourselves, which are the same depots that the delivery lorries leave from. There is no waiting for a collection and no deadline at a drop-off shop. It means an order placed surprisingly late in the day can still be picked, packed and in the courier's national network on the same evening - already travelling while other sellers' parcels are still waiting to be collected.

Our cut-off for same-day dispatch is 12.30pm. If you order after that time and you need the part urgently, same-day dispatch is often still possible. Send us a message before or just after buying, and we will do everything we can to dispatch it the same day.

It makes our working day longer. It makes your order arrive sooner.

DELIVERY INFORMATION - PLEASE READ

"Next Day Delivery" is a courier service and it is the couriers themselves who state it is a delivery AIM, not a guarantee. We do our best to dispatch every order the same working day, but once your parcel is with the courier, the courier is responsible for next-day delivery, and on rare occasions parcels are delayed for reasons outside our control.

That said, eBay independently tracks every seller's delivery performance, and our record speaks for itself. Around 98 per cent of our orders arrive the next day, and our late delivery rate is consistently below 3 per cent. That is a level of performance that eBay associates only with its highest-rated sellers. So although we cannot call it a guarantee, you can expect next-day arrival more often than not. This is what normally happens.

The next-day service covers the UK mainland only. It is not available for addresses on UK islands.

Remote and island locations - typically the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and other islands - can incur a courier surcharge and take longer to arrive. If you are in one of these areas, please send us a message before you buy. We will give you an accurate delivery price and timescale for your address. Please also note that the delivery dates eBay displays at checkout for these locations are estimates only and are often not accurate - allow extra time.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS - WE SHIP WORLDWIDE

If eBay is not showing postage to your country, that does not mean we cannot get the part to you. Some of our items do not appear in eBay's Global Shipping Programme, usually because the part is too large for the programme, or because its category is not covered. We ship worldwide by air and road freight every week, including large items like bumpers, bonnets, tailgates and wheels.

Please note: next-day delivery is for UK orders only. We offer a few international delivery options, and they all typically take between 1 and 2 weeks to arrive, depending on how far your address is from the UK. A faster air mail option of around 2 days is available, but it must be arranged with us by message before you buy, and you should expect to pay around 3 times as much. Please allow for this when ordering.

Please message us before you buy. Tell us the item and your country, and we will send you an accurate shipping price and timescale for your address. Wherever you are, if you want the part, we will find a way to deliver it.

TO OUR BUYERS IN THE USA & EUROPE - WHY ARE THESE PRICES SO LOW?

A fair question, and the answer is a difference between repair systems.

In the UK, vehicle crash repair works to standards where replacing a damaged part with a new genuine one is the norm. Body panels are replaced rather than repaired and repainted. Lightly damaged wheels are replaced rather than refurbished. When a stolen vehicle is recovered, parts are routinely replaced as a precaution, regardless of condition. In the US and much of Europe, repairers work differently - recycled parts of equivalent kind and quality are part of the system, and repair is preferred over replacement.

The result is that the UK produces a constant surplus of genuine manufacturer parts in nearly new condition. These parts were removed not because they had failed, but because the repair standards required replacement. So these parts end up with sellers like us, and supply outruns demand. That is the whole secret. There is nothing wrong with these parts. There are simply more of them here than our market can absorb.

If you work in the US crash repair business, these are what you would call OEM take-off parts - original manufacturer parts removed from vehicles: parts taken off vehicles still in service, many of them current models. They carry the same part numbers that your local dealer sells, at the low prices that this UK surplus makes possible. Send us a message through eBay and we will tell you the shipping price to your address. We ship worldwide by air and road freight every week, and for trade buyers we can quote by the pallet.

DISTRIBUTORS & TRADE PARTNERS - USA, EUROPE & WORLDWIDE

The UK surplus is bigger than any single eBay shop. We have the bodyshop relationships, the flow of stock and the export experience, and we are open to a small number of serious trade partnerships abroad: crash repair workshops, parts distributors and resellers who want a regular supply of genuine manufacturer parts, removed from vehicles, at the low prices that this UK surplus makes possible.

If that describes your business, send us a message through eBay telling us a little about your operation and the vehicle brands you deal in. Volume pricing, regular pallet shipments, mixed-brand or single-brand loads - planned around the parts that sell in your country.

Dropshippers and Trade Resellers - We Dispatch Under Your Name

We are a major supplier to many trade customers and online resellers who send our products directly to their own buyers. We make that process simple for you.

Ship direct to your customer: at the checkout, enter your customer's name and delivery address as the postage address (set this in your eBay delivery address before you pay) and we send the order directly to your customer.

Neutral shipping: tell us when you order, and we do not put any invoice, paperwork or branding of ours in the parcel.

We include your own invoice: send us your own invoice or delivery note. We put these documents in the parcel for your customer and leave out our own documents.

Your customer is in good hands: your customer receives the same fast delivery that we give to every buyer. Every item is checked against what this page says before dispatch, to confirm that it is exactly as shown. Your customer receives exactly the item described on this page. If we find a discrepancy, we contact you before we send the parcel.

Message us before or just after buying with your requests and we send the parcel exactly as you request.

▸ Our Story - Four Generations In The Motor Trade (tap to read)

C.E.J. Haime & Son was in the motor trade in the early 1900s, supplying and repairing vehicles during the pioneering days of motoring. Claud Haime was an all-rounder of the old kind, running several different businesses at once: the garage, an HMV dealership selling radios and gramophones, and greenhouses where he grew flowers so well that he won awards for them. Cars, music, and award-winning flowers, all from the same pair of hands. Nearly a century later, his great-grandson continues the family's connection to the motor trade.

The Haime name itself comes from Dorset, and the family's roots go back a very long way.

THE FAMILY MILL AT SHAFTESBURY. In the late seventeenth century a John Haime ran the mill on Mill Lane in Shaftesbury. The family mill is long gone, but the street survives - it was renamed Haimes Lane after the family, and you can walk down it today. Several of its cottages are now Grade II listed, and a building called Mill Place still stands where the mill once worked.

THE SOLDIER WHO PREACHED. The miller's grandson, John Haime (1708‑1784) - a gardener, then a button-maker - enlisted in the Queen's Own Regiment of Dragoons and marched out of Shaftesbury on Christmas morning, 1739. At the Battle of Dettingen in 1743 - the last battle in which a British army was led into battle by its ruling king - he stood under French cannon fire for seven hours. At Fontenoy in 1745 his horse was shot from under him and fell on him; an army officer nearby had just asked him "where is your God now, Mr Haime?" when a cannonball carried the officer's head away. Between battles he preached in the open air to crowds of as many as a thousand soldiers at once, and when complaints were made about him, the Duke of Cumberland questioned him personally - then issued a general order that Haime might preach anywhere, and no man should hinder him. Back home from the wars, he brought Methodism to Shaftesbury itself, and was once jailed in Dorchester on a charge of "causing a riot" - that is, for refusing to stop preaching. The town's Quakers paid his prison fees to get him out. John Wesley made him a travelling preacher in 1747, befriended him personally, and took him as a travelling companion. He claimed that despite fighting with all his might through his battles, he never once managed to kill or wound a man - his horse always shied, or his carbine misfired. He died in 1784; his gravestone is preserved in Whitchurch Methodist church in Hampshire to this day, and his life is recorded in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography.

THE PREACHER KNOWN AS THE THUNDERER. A later member of the same family, Charles Haime (1775‑1855) - born at Compton in Dorset, a shepherd on the Wiltshire downs in his youth - became one of the most formidable preachers of his era. Men who disliked his religion had him forced into the army against his will. He refused to do military training on a Sunday, until the exasperated army officer threw him out. Arrested for preaching without permission, he answered the charge by preaching at the magistrate, who cut him off with: "That is enough. I see you are called to preach." The magistrate then told him to go about his business, and he carried on preaching for fifty-four years. He rode into villages no preacher had ever visited, hiring the local crier to announce him (at Clovelly the crier added a closing line of his own: "I hope you'll all go, and benefit from it"). When a landowner threatened to evict any tenant who let him preach, he rode overnight to Exeter and back to secure a licence in time for the next evening. Crowds grew so large that pulpit stairs collapsed under the weight, and on one occasion - aged nearly seventy, with a thousand people shut out of a chapel that was already full - he climbed in through the window and walked over the heads of the crowd to reach the pulpit. His nickname was The Thunderer. One convert put it more plainly: "He takes hold of the sinner's conscience, and wrings it like a wet rag." His own records show the membership of his eighteen Methodist circuits grew by more than 5,500 under his ministry. When he finally retired in 1839 he asked to be listed as a supernumerary - a retired preacher - "not by age, accident, or disease, but by extraordinary labour - worn out by his long service."

His biography was published in 1865 - An Itinerant Preacher; or, Sketches from the Life of the Rev. Charles Haime, written by his son. A copy survived in the library of Oxford University, and it has since been digitised: it can be read online free of charge (search the English title).

None of this is about the motor trade, and we do not pretend that it is. Our trade story starts in the family garage in the early 1900s. But some things seem to be passed down through a family, whatever the trade - turning up in all weathers, doing the work properly, speaking plainly, and never backing down to anyone. A man who rode on horseback through the night to Exeter to keep a preaching appointment would have understood what it means to pack and dispatch an order the same evening.

Old-school standards. Modern motors.
